Sintlet is a location-based social networking and matching platform that helps users connect with people nearby based on shared interests.

Used strictly for account registration, identity verification, and login via secure OTP authentication.

Includes your Name, Date of Birth (used strictly for age verification to ensure users are 18+), Gender, and your matching preferences. We also collect your answers to our "Vibe Check" questions to power our real-time matching algorithm.

We collect precise and approximate location data to enable nearby matching.

👉 Important: Your exact GPS coordinates are stored in an isolated, private database and are NOT shared publicly. Only your approximate location (e.g., your city or area) is visible to other users on the platform.

Used solely to allow you to securely upload profile photos, build your visual identity, and write your bio snippets.

micMicrophone (iOS Specific Tech Requirement)

Our app includes microphone permission on iOS devices due to the underlying camera framework used by the image selection feature.

👉 Important Clarification

  • We do NOT record, store, or access audio.
  • Microphone permission is never actively used by the app.
  • This permission exists solely because Apple’s camera framework (used via image picker) supports video recording internally.
  • User Impact: You will NOT see a microphone permission popup unless video recording is explicitly used (which our app does not currently do).

We use your data to power the Sintlet experience:

Create and manage your account, authenticate users via secure OTP, and provide nearby matching services.

Display your profile to other users and enable media uploads so you can express freely.

Send you notifications and improve overall app performance and reliability.

How We Share Your Information

4.1 With Other Users

To facilitate authentic social discovery, your profile is visible to other authenticated users on the platform. The information actively shown to others includes your name, age, gender, photos, approximate location (city/area), the specific "Vibe Flavors" you select, and your temporary "Active Vibe" bio (the short status you write to express how you are feeling during that session).

Additionally, to power our real-time matching experience, technical compatibility data (such as your lifestyle tags and "Vibe Check" algorithmic answers) is processed by the platform and shared with other users' devices to calculate and display your Vibe Sync percentage.

👉 Note: Highly sensitive data, such as your exact GPS coordinates, phone number, and account settings, are strictly hidden and never shared with other users.

We use industry-standard platforms like Google LLC (Firebase Services) for:

User-Generated Content Policy

Permissions Usage

We request on-device permissions strictly when required for app functionality:

Location: Required for discovering Nearby matches.

Camera & Gallery: Required to capture and upload Profile photos.

Microphone (Special App Store Compliance): Included purely due to iOS system OS internal camera requirements. Code is not actively used. Absolutely no audio is collected or stored.

10. Children's Privacy

Sintlet is designed strictly for users 18 and older. No data is knowingly collected from minors.

11. International Processing

Data may be processed on secure global servers (e.g., Firebase) to ensure rapid matching everywhere.

12. Changes to Policy

We may radically update this policy. When significant changes occur, we will proactively notify active users.
